DAY 1
Arrive Colombo And Proceed For Negombo. Tour Of Negombo, Chilaw, Muneshwaram & Manawari. Overnight At Negomba. (34 Kms - 30 Mts Drive)

Negombo is a major tourist destination known for its long sandy beaches and is also the country’s second-largest fish market. Catamaran trips in the sea and boat trips in canal can be organized. Munneswaram temple is an important regional Hindu temple in Sri Lanka and is in existence at least since 1000 CE. The temple is one of the ancient Pancha Ishwarams dedicated to Shiva and is a collection of five temples, including a Buddhist temple.
Manavari Temple is the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivam. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama.
As per the Legend– Lord Rama stopped at Manavari to install and pray Shivling which is one of the four lingams in Manvari, Thirukoneshvaram, Thiruketheeshwaram, and Rameshwaram in India, as the only remedy to get rid of the “Bramha hathya Dosham as he killed King Ravan who was a Brahmin.

After Breakfast Leave For Sigiriya. En-Route Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage Which Is A 25 Acre Coconut Property Sheltering More Than 70 Orphaned Elephants And Is 100 Kms From Colombo. Do Not Be Surprised To Witness Baby Elephants Being Bottle Fed Or Moving Around Freely Causing Absolutely No Harm To Anyone. It Is Rightly A Sincere Sight To Observe How These Gentle Giants – Orphaned Are Taken Care Of Since 1975 At Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
