DAY 1
Arrive Colombo And Proceed For Negombo. Tour Of Negombo, Chilaw, Muneshwaram & Manawari. Overnight At Negomba. (34 Kms - 30 Mts Drive)
Arrive into Colombo and you will be welcomed and assisted by a representative before you proceed to Negombo. After you check in at the hotel, get fresh and have breakfast. Later Proceed for full day City Tour of Negombo, Chilaw, Muneshwaram & Manawari
Negombo is a major tourist destination known for its long sandy beaches and is also the country’s second-largest fish market. Catamaran trips in the sea and boat trips in canal can be organized. Munneswaram temple is an important regional Hindu temple in Sri Lanka and is in existence at least since 1000 CE. The temple is one of the ancient Pancha Ishwarams dedicated to Shiva and is a collection of five temples, including a Buddhist temple.
Manavari Temple is the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivam. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama.
As per the Legend– Lord Rama stopped at Manavari to install and pray Shivling which is one of the four lingams in Manvari, Thirukoneshvaram, Thiruketheeshwaram, and Rameshwaram in India, as the only remedy to get rid of the “Bramha hathya Dosham as he killed King Ravan who was a Brahmin.

Do Not Be Surprised To Witness Baby Elephants Being Bottle Fed Or Moving Around Freely Causing Absolutely No Harm To Anyone. Visit Anuradapura, Sri Maha Bodhi – Banyan Tree, The Isurumuniya Vihara, Lovamahapaya, Ruwanwelisaya, The Archaeolgy Museum, The Jetavana, Overnight Stay In Habarana
After Breakfast Proceed To Anuradapura Which Is The 1st Ancient Capital And Archaeological Monuments. It Was Here That King Ashoka Had Sent His Son – Mahendra And Daughter – Sangamitra With .“Sri Maha Bodhi” Which Is A A Sacred Banyan Sapling After Which Bhodh Relegion Prospered Here.
Start Your Tour By Visiting The Isurumuniya Vihara Which Is This Is Located Near Tisawewa (Tisa Tank). There Are Interesting Rock Carvings To See, Especially The Isurumuniya Lovers. Later Proceed Bodhi Tree Temple Where You Will See The Sri Maha Bodhiya Tree And Is The Second Most Sacred Place In Sri Lanka. The Temple Is Surrounded By Walls, And Is Quite Busy With Monks And Worshipers. Later Proceed For Ruwanwelisaya Which Is The The Oldest And Most Voluminous Stupa At Anuradhapura, Has Been Fully Restored, Painted White, And Is Currently A Centre Of Worship. Later Visit The Jetavana Which Is A Large Stupa Known As “Dagoba Which Is The Third Tallest Structure In The Ancient World (After The Great Pyramids At Giza), And The Largest In Sri Lanka.
Thereafter Return To The Hotel And Rest Of The Day At Leisure And Shopping Activities.

DAY 4
Visit Polonnaruwa, Lankathilake, Tivanka And Thuparama, Rankoth Vehera Kiri Vehera, Gal Vihare, Parakrama Samudra Lake, Minneriya National Park For Safari, Overnight Stay In Habarana.
After Breakfast Proceed To Polonnaruwa Which Was The 2nd Capital Of Sri Lanka And Another World Heritage Site. Visit Monuments Like The Lankathilake, Tivanka And Thuparama Which Are The Most Beautiful And Largest Image Houses. Then Proceed For Rankoth Vehera And Kiri Vehera Are Well Preserved Large Stupas.

Thereafter Proceed To Minneriya National Park For Jeep Safari. It Is A Favourite Tourists Spot Largely Because Large Numbers Of Elephants Are Visible In The Grass Fields On The Edges Of The Reservoir During The Dry Season. After Breakfast Visit Seetha Amman Temple – Ashoka Vathika & Huggala Botanical Garden. As per the Legend – Sita Amman The Stream That Runs From The Hill, Catered To The Needs Of Sitadevi During Her Stay At Ashok Vatika. She Is Said To Have Bathed In This Stream. Now There Is Temple For Lord Rama, Sitadevi, Luxshmana, And Hanuman By The Side Of This Stream.
It Is Believed That The Idols Have Been Worshipped At This Spot For Centuries. It Is Interesting To Note That Foot Prints Akin To Lord Hanuman’s Are Found By This River And Some Are Of Small Size And Some Are Of Large Size, Which Tells Us Of The Immense Powers Of Hanuman Transforming Himself Into Any Size.

Later Proceed For Kelaniya Temple Where After King Ravana’s Death, Vibeeshana Was Coroneted As King Of Lanka By Lakshmana. The Kelani River Is Mentioned In The Valmiki Ramayana And Vibeeshana Palace Was Said To Be On The Banks Of This River. You Will Note That Temples For Vibeeshana Are Found Throughout Sri Lanka But No Temples Dedicated For Ravana Exist Which Proves That His Stand Towards Dharma & Justice Made People To Revere Him As A God In Sri Lanka.
